This Can’t Be True…
It defies logic…
Wait. What?
I fact check almost every bit of news that comes to my eyes or ears. Every bit that seems too, ridiculous, two outlandish, to careless of policy, precedent, or the value of life…95% turns out to be true.
The 5%? No 60 minutes did not have a technology expert, insisting that people must copy and paste a disclaimer that Meta does not own their content. Not true. Neither is there an international package stuck in customs, requiring money to release it. Neither is my access to Google on the verge of being blacked out.
The phrase used to be that it was too good to be true. That qualifies when I think of the friends that I have and they really are too good and they are true.
Now the phrase is too bad to be true and unfortunately, most of it is accurate reporting.
I wrote nothing yesterday because my objective is to lift and inspire and all I had was, “I can’t even…“.
Today I go into my day knowing that the most important thing that I can do is the most important thing in the moment. And then? The next most important thing… And then the one after that.
Maybe you, too. We can punctuate by speaking up for others, for creatures, for trees and for our neighbors near and far. By saying to our elected officials- “enough is enough and THIS is too much.”
I appreciate the countries who are not bowing to a mad man who imagines himself king.
P. S.
And I paid more than $5 for gas yesterday.

A madman is an accurate description of the person currently occupying the White House. I needed reminding to do the most important thing first, then the next and the next. And sometimes the most important thing is sit and hold the little white kitty who adores me. The feeling is mutual. And thinking of the many friends I have near and far makes me think less about the chaos. Thanks for these reminders.
