I voted
And The Ballot Came Directly to Where I Live
It’s called “mail in voting.”
The implication is clear.
That’s how I’ve voted the bulk of my voting days.
Until I stopped. A few years ago…maybe say around ten…I started only trusting my ballot to a drop off box.
This year I couldn’t find two of the “24-hour access” boxes…and the third was a fire station that featured a solid metal box bolted into the cement. Win win. I trust sturdy metal + bolts AND I trust fire professionals.
I Voted. I wore the sticker. I was relieved to have it out of my hands.
And I am grateful for the opportunity. It’s a right I do not take lightly. And, yes, I will be tracking my ballot. I’m grateful for that practice, too.
